From harvest to “Done!”, it’s been 12 months with a few ups and downs. But, friends, the way this wine is showing right now is a true dream. Seriously. If we manage to get it into the bottle without stumbling, we’re going to make quite a few of you very happy.
Thank you so much, by the way, for all the inquiries about the release of the 2025 vintage. It means the world to us to know that our wines are on your table when you celebrate, share a meal with friends, or just unwind. That’s why we do this!
However, for 2025, there won’t be any Terrassen Techno and no Punk Rob. The reason: we simply couldn’t harvest any more from the Winninger Hamm last year. Due to the weather conditions leading up to harvest, we had quite a bit of botrytis in the vines. Thanks to a meticulous harvest (a big thank you again to all our helpers!), where we picked only the very best grapes, yields were extremely low. As a result, we could barely fill a single barrique. But what a barrique it is!
So for 2025, there will “only” be the Slate of the Art. Slowly fermented, aged in oak barrique, and with stunning structure. We’ll let it rest on the fine lees for a few more months before it goes into bottles. So don’t be sad — it’s going to be something truly special!
